Hostfully and Furnished Finder Partner to Expand Opportunities for Short-Term Rental Operators in the Monthly Rental Market.

Hostfully becomes the first property management system to integrate directly with Furnished Finder, following company research that shows 30+ day stays are already reaching four in ten short-term rental operators.

San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --  Hostfully, the property management software built for professional short-term rental (STR) operators, and Furnished Finder, the leading marketplace for furnished monthly rentals, today announced an integration that gives short-term rental managers access to mid-term rental demand from within the system they already use to run their business. Hostfully is the first property management system to integrate directly with Furnished Finder.

The partnership was driven by growing demand for monthly and mid-term rental capabilities. In response to increasing customer inquiries, Hostfully analyzed and published its own platform data that examines how much of that business was already moving through short-term portfolios. The findings pointed to a consistent gap. Hostfully found that across more than 500,000 recent US reservations spanning roughly 16,500 listings, 39% of operators had at least one booking of 30 nights or longer during a twelve-month period. While those stays accounted for just 1.7% of all reservations by count, mid-term stays filled an estimated 20% of booked nights.

The market for furnished monthly rentals is expanding rapidly at more than double the rate of short-term rentals. According to Furnished Finder's monthly rental market report, revenue generated by stays of 28 nights or longer in the US reached $6.2 billion in 2025, a 173% increase from 2019. Short-term rental demand grew by only 52% during the same period. Monthly rentals now make up about 19% of all rental demand nationwide. Furnished Finder’s inventory saw similar growth, expanding from approximately 20,000 listings pre-pandemic to more than 300,000 today, serving over 240,000 landlords.

The partnership also arrives as regulation reshapes where short-term inventory can operate. For operators navigating restrictive regulations, monthly rentals are a natural pivot. Most STR bans apply only to stays under 30 days, a threshold that monthly rentals inherently satisfy. In New York, for example, tighter short-term rental enforcement pushed demand sharply toward longer stays, with monthly rentals becoming the clear majority of bookings within a few years. 

"Regulation is not the only reason an operator looks at monthly rentals, but it is an increasingly common one," Schmorak added. "Some of our customers are already navigating that, and more of them will be. Our job is to make sure that when a market shifts beneath them, or a season goes soft, or a property underperforms, they have somewhere to go that does not require them to rebuild their business.
